A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I’m Jenn, a lifestyle and elopement photographer based in the Bay Area of California. I grew up on the East Coast in Charlottesville, Virginia. While there, I had spent most of my career in the non-profit world, and that’s partly where my love of photography (and honestly more generally design) started.
However, it mostly started on my frequent adventures with friends. We would travel together to epic places, and I found myself wanting to capture these epic moments - I wanted to time capsule these memories with friends exploring someplace new.
This life - our time on this Earth - is precious and we should make the most of it.
Die with memories, not dreams… right? So I decided to pursue a lifestyle that allowed me to do just that. That brought me across the country to the beautiful state of California. Along the way, I’ve found that I really want to capture those memories for others too.
WHY LIFESTYLE & ADVENTURES?
I believe that every season is special and unique. We may not realize it in the moment, because let’s be honest - most of us find ourselves on this never ending hamster wheel. Things feel mundane or normal. Just another day. We get a little older. Our friends move. Kids get a little older. Before we know it, the season we are in has passed us by.
Time is one thing we will never get back in this life, and I believe we should seize these moments. Let’s relish in the season that we’re in right now - that’s right in front of us! It’s special even when we think it’s just “average.” Even at 30, I feel like I’m already starting to forget things. I kind of wish I had taken more photos - ways to remember the past. Ways to re-live the precious little moments. Because one day, we will have lived a lot more memories and our minds will fail to remember everything. Let’s not look back and only wish we could remember.
So YES! Let’s capture those big special moments - engagements, weddings, maternity photos, anniversaries, etc. But don’t forget about the everyday stuff too. Capture yourself and the people that mean the most to you just having fun and being yourselves. Take a little adventure and capture this season too.
Let’s capture the moments we never want to forget and that make life worth living.
WHY ELOPEMENTS?
For as long as I can remember, I have loved weddings. I was the little girl who wanted to grow up to be a wedding planner, tried on her mother’s wedding dress countless times, and had her own wedding all planned out by the time she was 10 (let me tell you this plan is totally different now haha).
As I got older and more friends got married, I kept hearing stories about how they wish they would have done things differently… smaller… more intimate… less stress. That’s when I realized it’s not the wedding that I loved. It’s not the big ceremony, the poppin’ reception, or the decorative centerpieces.
It’s the magic everyone dreams about but later gets lost somewhere along the way when figuring out the seating chart. It’s the intimate, special moments of two people coming together, pledging their life and love for each other. It’s two people beginning a brand new, crazy, awesome adventure together called marriage. That’s what I love. That’s what I want to capture.
Let’s plan an adventure together that’s just as incredible as the adventure you’re about to begin, and I’ll make sure you can relive every moment of it for years to come.

I have a deep love for exploration - new places, cultures, adventure. A big part of my photography journey has been capturing these incredible places.

Where did I learn so much about photography? Dave Herring - commercial landscape photographer. He is one of my closest friends. I still learn from him all the time. Check him out @ dave.online.
I love tattoos, and my best friend is a tattoo artist. We are a dangerous match. Dangerous for me anyways haha! If you want any tattoos check her out - Amanda Herring @grayribbontattoo.
In college, my roommate told me that I would grow old like Sophia from The Golden Girls. I’m pretty sure she meant that I would be brutally honest, sarcastic, and lose my filter. She might be right...
I like to change things up and try new things all the time. One of those things is my hair. A friend once told me that my hair is my greatest variable.
